Dinner: 2003 Sauternes, Foie Gras. Dessert: Mille feuille (meaning 1000 leaves), otherwise known as vanilla slice but done properly. Jealous?

A little demonstration of electricity at the Grand Palais, Paris’ exhibition hall and the last ‘Crystal Palace’ buildings built before electricity, the ceiling allowing light in. Building pics not taken by us.

Our little street, at 175 Rue Saint Martin. Hot and balmy Paris. 27ºC, 9:30pm, and everybody is out enjoying the night. The Cathedrale de Notre Dame de Paris’ silhouette provides the backdrop.

A surprise find : South Indian in Paris, courtesy of a chain from Tamil Nadu. As good as the food in South India. Tammy and I plan to return, a good break between large hunks of lamb shank and other hearty French meals. We seem to have rendered a few animals legless on this trip…
